I don’t know about that. Soma Cruz was born around in the 2000s. I don’t think Dracula would have a single memory of Soma in this game since Dracula’s last fight as Dracula himself was in 1999. I think Soma would say something like “I’m the reincarnation of you from the future.” and Dracula be like “What is this madness you speak of?”.

Probably since he didn't change appeareance when first becoming a vampire and Ayami Kojima's original artstyle for Soma ressembles Mathias as he originally looked when he first became a vampire. He probably would call him a doppelganger while denying the idea that he would reincarnate to become a japanese highschooling bishonen.

@@grawlix-man463 Yet it completley butchered the source material all the while shoving in "content" which has no place in the Castlevania franchise all for the sake to indulge the "Netflix demographic" for which this kind of "content" is meant to cater to. You only need look at the absolute deconstruction of Netflix's version of Hector at the hands of a thot succubus and her lesbian overlord to realize how little of an "adaptation" this series is to dare say it has anything to with _Castlevania_ (not gonna even bother addressing the disgusting treatment towards Alucard at the end of Season 3). Needless to say the more people support this kind of content as if it actually deserved the title of Castlevania the more this franchise will further fall into oblivion loosing all the recognition and prestige it once achieved back in it's golden Era.

what's funny is if you fight dracula with the vampire killer, during the fight he curses himself for letting Leon even make that whip. and even point's out that it was the one thing he didn't planned for.

That is why Simon Belmont is the most legendary Belmont of all. I hope Netflix takes advantage of this and makes Simon as legendary as possible, but not over the top.

Canonically, Julius is the one Belmont that permanently defeated Dracula, and Soma is the reincarnation of Drac. If they were here, I wonder what kind of paradox would be created.

Soma would be really interesting. Have Dracula recognize Soma as his reincarnation, maybe learn that he managed to escape the fate that Dracula went through, but still be forced to fight him, unable to let go of his hatred for humanity. Tell him that if he wishes to protect Mina, he'll have to kill him.

​@@LordTyph Problem with that scenario is that Mina happens to be Elisabetha and Lisa reincarnated making Drac a hypocrite if he's willing to kill his reincarnated self's reincarnation of his wife only to repeat the same cycle all over again albeit at his own hands rather than humanity's.

@@javiervasquez625 My thinking is that Drac's just not able to let go and so he CAN'T stop. Because even if Mina is her reincarnation, what happened to his wife is likely still burned into his memory and he can't let go, even knowing she would want him to stop. He certainly didn't after Alucard told him of her last words, after all. Thus, he wants someone to stop him, knowing that he can't let go of that hatred and... well, wanting to rest, at least knowing that, one day, his suffering will finally end and he will know some form of peace. And, with his last moments, telling Soma to take care of Mina and not to lose the ability to love, like he had.
